RiskTurtle
A development of the "turtles" idea: entry on a breakout of the slow Donchian channel, protective exit at the middle of the fast channel.
The main difference is that the position size is calculated from risk. The distance from the entry point to the middle of the fast channel is the potential loss. The bot sizes the position so that this loss equals the set % of the deposit. A narrow channel means a bigger position, a wide one a smaller position.
Order type used: Market Stop order.
Parameters
slow_channel_len- length of the slow channel whose borders are used for entry orders (default 50)fast_channel_len- length of the fast channel whose middle is used for the protective close (default 25)risk_long,risk_short- risk per trade in %risk_max- maximum lot multiplier, so that the position does not get too big on a very narrow channellevel_offset_long,level_offset_short- shift of the entry levels by a fixed amount in price
Backtest the strategy on historical data in the tester and run it in hamster-bot.
